SUBDIVISIONS REPLACE FARMS IN HAMLET OF ELNORA.(AT HOME)

The historically rural hamlet of Elnora, located in the northern section of the town of Clifton Park, is slowly being eaten by subdivisions that feature a myriad of housing from ranches to more traditional styles.

Although there are still several large farms here, the eastern part of the hamlet has been developed during the past 30 years. As large farms have been sold, subdivisions featuring ranches, colonials and Victorian-style homes have sprung up with the speed of summer corn.

The population of Clifton Park overall has grown from approximately 4,512 people in 1960 to more than 30,000 as of the 1990 census.
